The Ghana Football Association says it has submitted to the police video footage of the acts of hooliganism perpetrated at the Sunyani Coronation Park during the division One League match between B. A. United and Real Tamale United.
The Executive Council of the GFA described the incident as unfortunate and condemned it “without any reservation.”
The Executive Council said it had provided footage of the incident to the Ghana Police in Sunyani and urged members of the public with similar videos to make them available to help the police apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators.
The GFA also condemned the breach of Covid 19 protocols at the venue.
That the Executive Council reiterates that criminal conduct at a football venue must be handled the same way criminal conduct is handled generally in Ghana by law. The Association, therefore, urges the Ghana Police Service to leave no stone unturned in pursuing the perpetrators and to use all legal means to bring them to justice.
