As the New Patriotic Party is preparing to go into the polls next year to elect its national leaders, there has been numerous calls from party executives, polling station executives, identifiable groups, party stalwarts both in Ghana and in diaspora,footsoldiers and grassroots on Nana Kwadwo Akwaa, the Critical Thinkers International (CTI) Boss to contest in the National Youth Organizer race.
Adding their voice to the many calls,the NPP market women in the Kwadaso municipality have made a passionate call on Nana Kwadwo Akwaa to consider the voice of the party grassroots and heed to their call.
Admonishing the good works of the leadership of the Kwadaso Branch of the NPP Grassroots Movement on Friday 19th February, 2021 when the leadership of the movement visited markets in the municipality to educate the market folks on the need to observe the Covid-19 protocols,the market women used the occasions to throw their support on Nana Kwadwo Akwaa to contest the national youth race.
“We’ve known Nana Kwadwo Akwaa for long. We campaigned with him in last year’s elections. He has always been there for the youth. His influence on the grassroots and his contributions to them made this constituency, kwadaso adjudged the best constituency in terms of percentage of votes cast in the general elections for the NPP. We will support him everyday” a market woman in Asuoyeboah stated.
“Akwaa is like a son to me. I will personally call him and ask him to listen to you guys and contest for us. I know what Nana Akwaa can do for this party. He must contest” another woman in Apire -Wamase commanded.
“Our children need jobs and I strongly believe that Nana Kwadwo Akwaa will be of help to them if he becomes the national youth leader”
A market woman in Apatrapa also stated.
“Nana Kwadwo Akwaa has really contributed a lot to the welfare and development of the party grassroots, and therefore calling on him to represent you at the national level is a right call. We support this call”
Doris, a young lady in Tanoso market admonished.
The NPP national elections is slated to be held in September next year as communicated by the party’s general secretary.
