The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sene West constituency in the Bono East Region, Mr Kwame Ampofo Twumasi has disclosed that the good people of Sene will soon witness the construction of the first tertiary institution in the Constituency.
According to the Sene West MP through his development agenda, he has already secured a land for the construction of the first nursing training school in the constituency.
Mr Twumasi explained further that plans are far advance for the construction of the nursing training school since the chiefs and elders have made available a piece of land between Drobe and Lemu for the construction a nursing training school which when completed will open the economic fortunes of the district.
He announced the good news to his constituents during the launch of MP’s Youth Employment Program initiative.
Currently, Sene West constituency has no tertiary institution with a total population of 69,836.
The district has only one senior high school which was established some 31 years ago in Kwame Danso, the district capital.
Kwame Danso Senior High Technical was established by the Government of Ghana, under the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service on the 28th of January 1991 as a mixed day school.
According to Sene West lawmaker, the project when completed will not only not enhance the economic fortunes but also give the youth an opportunity to be enrolled in a tertiary learning institution close to them.
“Again the citing of the nursing training school in the district means our health needs will be improve, we will have more health professionals coming from the constituency and would be willing to serve in every part of the district.” Mr Twumasi stressed.
